Food is always good. The chicken wings are huge and the curries have a good balance of flavor.
Delivery is fast and food is fresh.
Place is deceiving from the outside, but food is good. -

Takeaway made me ill, cheap looking and tasting. very bland, meat was dried out, nan bread and poppadom were the worst.

Wow, I'd walked pst the Roman Tandoori many times and not fancied it much - definitely scruffy on the outside! But, decided to try it for a takeaway after seeing the reviews and now I wonder why I tried anywhere else!
First of all the delivery guy was really friendly which set us up well, the food was GREAT, really tasty and well prepared. We had tandoori chops and meat (lamb) Jalfrezi with pilau rice and popadums - simple but so well done - the peppers and onions were just done to perfection the meat in the Jalfrezi well cooked and it was meat not gristle or fat! The chops were really very good = chewy, flavoursome and a generous proportion. The rice was well done and tastier than any I've recently had, popadums good. The was salad with the chops was small but nice - the raw chilli in it was a (welcome) surprise.
Spicing was great for me.
Overall, great value for money, a simple menu very well done. I'll be returning frequently! -

Fancy some yummy Indian food that's a phone call away? If you're in East London, this is the place to dial in. With real value for money and offering some delectable dishes in Indian cuisine, this take-away joint, inconspicuously located on Roman Road is definitely a must-try. Highly recommended dishes include chicken jalfrezi and chicken korma in non-veg. The dall is also particularly tasty. A meal for two will cost anything between 12 and 15 pounds.

This is one of the first Indian takeaway in the area and still going strong with same owner 25 years plus, all the food tastes different not like some that now pop up that use a curry base and then add more onion or tomatoes or chilli, looks a bit grubby on outside but it's not changed for many years, the food is the best for miles around much better than brick lane and whitechapel don't take my word go and try it, very best Indian food
